Directors: Terry and Valerie Goldade
Terry and Valerie have six children and four grandchildren. Williston has been their home since 1989. Valerie has a heart for Single Mothers and Teen/Young Mothers. She was a teen/single mother herself at the age of 19, and because of caring people in her life, she found hope and love through a faithful, loving God. Because of going through this intense struggle in her life, she is passionate about encouraging and supporting others who are going through the same struggles she once faced.
She was privileged to teach her own children for twenty years and other's children for four years. Currently, Valerie is devoting her time to developing "communities" within our community! It is so powerful to join with others who have walked the same journey. There is a realization that you are not alone, and it is easier to face what is ahead, knowing you have support.
Community Outreach: Kelly Grunenwald
Kelly is a Minnesota native who moved to Williston in 2006 when her husband Steve took a job teaching at Williston State College. She taught preschool for a couple of years before staying home with her 4 children. Five years ago, Kelly began volunteering with the EMBER teen mom program. She quickly fell in love with the heart and mission of Dakota Family Solutions and the women/families that make up our “DFS family”. Kelly is grateful and humbled to join Valerie in sharing the love of Jesus to women in our community.
